too freakin' loud
The band was mixing hits with songs from their last release, plus a couple of new songs from the upcoming album in fine form. It was all too loud - not the usual overamped kick and bass - no, the mix was fine, but you couldn't hear the vocals unless the singer really punched it. If the guy controlling the sound would have just turned the master fader down about 10 bd then he could have easily taken the vocals up over the top. There was no nuance to be heard - just a punchy wall - still better than the bottom driven stuff I've heard elsewhere, but nowhere near pleasant.
